Here are the most common questions about Alphabitx - your account, security, the wallet, token swapping (DEX), the marketplace, Reels and News, the Companies module, the invites and points system, and how to reach us. If you can't find what you're looking for, contact us by email at the bottom of this page.
Account and sign-up
How do I create an Alphabitx account?
Tap "Create account" on the welcome screen, choose a username and password, and optionally add an email - useful for resetting your password if you lose it, and for being found by contacts who already have your email saved. No phone number is required.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in page, choose "Forgot password?" and follow the instructions. Resetting your password by email is only possible if you have an email linked to your account - if you don't, contact support.
Can I change my username?
Your username (your identifier, e.g. @username:alphabitx.xyz) can't
be changed after the account is created - it's your permanent identity on the
network. You can, however, freely change your display name and profile picture at
any time in Settings.
How do I add or remove my email from my account?
Go to Settings → Account, where you can add an email address; you'll get a confirmation email with a link to validate it. To remove it, go back to the same section and choose remove next to the already-linked address.
Security and privacy
Are my conversations encrypted?
Yes. Private conversations and most rooms use end-to-end encryption - only you and the people in the conversation can read the messages, not even we have access to the content. Check whether a room is encrypted via the padlock icon next to the room name.
Where is my data stored?
Alphabitx runs on our own server, without relying on third-party infrastructure for the app's essentials (messages, identity, verification email). We never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
What do I do if I lose access to my device?
If you set up an encryption key backup (recommended, in Settings → Security), you can recover your encrypted message history on a new device with your recovery phrase. Without that backup, the previous history stays unreadable on the new device - only new messages keep working normally.
How do I report a user or abusive content?
On any message or profile, use the report option (the "…" menu → Report). Our team reviews reports and acts in accordance with our community rules.
Wallet and payments
Do I need an external wallet (MetaMask) to use Alphabitx?
It's not required. You can use a browser wallet (like MetaMask), or create an in-app wallet directly, with a 12-word recovery phrase that only you know. Choose whichever option you prefer on any payment screen or in Settings → Wallet.
How do I send or receive tokens/payments?
You can send tokens directly to another user (for example, as a gift in a conversation), or share your wallet address to receive them. Every transfer always shows the exact amount before you confirm.
I lost my in-app wallet's recovery phrase. Is there any way to recover it?
No. The recovery phrase is the only way to access an in-app wallet's funds - Alphabitx neither stores it nor can recover it for you. Always keep it somewhere safe and never share it with anyone, including our support team.
Token swap (DEX)
What is the Alphabitx DEX?
A peer-to-peer (P2P) token exchange, built directly into the app - you can swap tokens, trade in Spot mode with an order book, or add liquidity to a pool and earn a share of each swap's fees.
What fees are charged on swaps?
Every swap has a small fee, shown before you confirm any operation (in the transaction summary). Part of that fee is distributed to whoever provides liquidity to the pools.
What does "slippage" mean?
It's the maximum price difference you accept between the moment you confirm a swap and the moment it executes on the blockchain - it protects you from ending up with much less than you expected if the price moves in the meantime. You can adjust this tolerance in the swap settings.
Marketplace
How do I sell a product on the Marketplace?
Go to your shop and choose "New listing" - set a title, description, price, photos, available quantity, and where you ship to. Payment for each sale stays held in escrow until you confirm shipping and the buyer confirms receipt.
What happens if there's a problem with an order?
Either the buyer or the seller can open a dispute directly on the order, explaining what went wrong. An administrator reviews the case and decides whether to release the payment to the seller or refund it to the buyer.
How do I know a sale was really paid for?
Every order shows its status in real time - "Payment held", "Shipped", "Confirmed", etc. - tied directly to the blockchain, without relying on screenshots or manual confirmations.
Reels and News
What are Reels?
A short-video feed, similar to other networks you already know, built from public channels inside Alphabitx. Anyone can watch and comment; only a channel's owner can post videos to it.
How do I create a Reels channel?
When creating a space or room, mark it as a "Reel channel" - it automatically becomes public, and the videos you post appear in the general Reels feed for every user, even people who haven't joined your room.
What is the News page?
A feed of articles published by public news pages - each page has an author who publishes, and any user can read, comment on, and react to the articles, even without joining the source room.
Can I comment and react to content?
Yes, on both: Reels and News have comments and reactions (like/dislike) open to any user with an Alphabitx account.
Companies
What is the Companies module?
A set of tools for teams: time clock (clock in/out, schedules, absences) and mileage log (trip records, vehicle fleet, maintenance). It's always invite-only - only people invited to your workspace see the records.
How does the time clock work?
Each invited person clocks their own entry and exit with a single click (or enters a time manually, if they forget to clock in real time). Whoever created the workspace sets the work schedule, the daily threshold for overtime, and can view the hours summary and export everything to Excel.
How does the mileage log work?
The workspace's creator registers one or more vehicles (brand, model, plate) and makes them available to the team. Each trip is linked to a vehicle, with start/end mileage, fuel and odometer photos - the app automatically calculates how far away the next service is and the estimated tyre wear.
Who can see my Companies records?
Only people in the same workspace - these are invite-only rooms, never public. The workspace's creator sees the whole team's records; each member always sees their own.
Invites and points
What are points?
A reward system for inviting people and for using the app. Every account has a personal invite link (Settings → Invites), and earns points when whoever you invited stays active, as well as for your own use of the various services. Points have no value and cannot be sold or transferred.
How do I earn points?
Inviting someone who registers and verifies their email earns points; if that person stays active for a week, more points are earned. From your own use: sending messages (one point per active day), connecting a wallet for the first time, doing swaps on the testnet DEX, and reporting a bug the team confirms. Check Settings → Invites for the full table and your current total.
What's the full points table, with every value and limit?
| Action | Points | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Invitee registers and verifies their account (adds and confirms an email) | 50 (once) | - |
| Invitee stays active (at least 1 session on 5 of the last 7 days) | 100 (once) | Max. 20 point-earning invites per week, per inviter |
| Sending at least one message in a day | 1 / day | Max. 1 per calendar day |
| Connecting and verifying a wallet (real signature) | 30 (once) | First time only, per account |
| Confirmed swap on the testnet DEX (verified on-chain) | 5 / swap | Max. 10 swaps (50 points) per week |
| Bug reported and confirmed real by the team | 50 (per bug) | Manual award, no fixed limit |
These are the exact same values used by the live system (never an outdated copy) - they can be adjusted by the team without you needing to update the app. "Invitee stays active" and "chat messages" are credited automatically, once a day, based on real activity on the account - never through a button you can click yourself, precisely to stop anyone claiming points they haven't earned. Connecting a wallet and DEX swaps only count with real proof (a wallet signature or a genuine blockchain transaction); bugs are always confirmed by hand by an administrator before being awarded.
Can I see everyone's leaderboard?
Yes - the points leaderboard is public, visible to any user in Settings → Invites, to keep the competitive spirit alive. It only shows each account's total points, never the detail of how they were earned.
What happens to my points in the future?
At the token launch, points convert proportionally into a share of the Airdrop pool (3,000,000 ATK, 3% of total supply) - your share of everyone's accumulated points (excluding accounts flagged for abuse) determines your share of the tokens, with a 12-month vesting period after launch. Your points page already shows a live estimate (your points ÷ the sum of all valid points × 3,000,000), but that's exactly what it is: an estimate that changes as more people earn points, not a guaranteed amount or a reserve held in your name.
Can someone cheat to earn more points?
We try to make it hard: connecting a wallet and DEX swaps only count with real proof (a wallet signature, or a genuine blockchain transaction), and there are weekly limits on several actions. Accounts suspected of abuse (e.g. mass registrations from the same device) can be excluded from the count by the team.
General questions
Is Alphabitx free?
Yes, creating an account and using chat is free. Some optional features (DEX swaps, Marketplace sales) have small fees, always shown transparently before you confirm any operation.
Can I use Alphabitx on my phone?
Yes - the app works directly in your phone's browser, and you can install it as an app (PWA) from the browser menu, "Add to home screen", for an experience closer to a native app.
How do I contact support?
Write to us at [email protected], or check the contact section at the bottom of this page.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
This is not done by emailing support - bugs are always reported in the public "Erros e Bugs" room (go to Settings → Help to find it, or search for it directly). Post a message there describing what you found: what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened - a screenshot always helps.
From there, our technical team reviews the report directly in the room, confirms whether it's really a bug (not a mistake or a duplicate) and, if so, manually awards you the corresponding 50 points (see the full table in "Invites and points" above) - this review is always done by a person, never automatically, and can take a few days depending on how many reports are waiting. The support email is for other kinds of questions (account, payments, etc.), not for bugs.
Are the AI assistants/bots reliable?
Some Alphabitx bots use third-party AI models, which by nature can fail or make up wrong answers that look confident. Never treat a response from one of these agents as professional, financial, legal, or medical advice, nor as your only source for important decisions - especially about the wallet, the DEX, or the Marketplace.
